About This Visa

Stop first: Ukraine is on MEA’s travel-advisories list. Reconfirm https://www.mea.gov.in/travel-advisories before any leisure quote.

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. They are not visa-free. MFA has issued e-Visas to Indian nationals since 14 August 2020. Usual staff path: https://evisa.mfa.gov.ua — tourism is one of the named purposes. Single or double entry, stay up to 30 days. The PDF goes to email. Print it for the State Border Guard.

They can still file a sticker visa at the Embassy / VFS instead. Do not use agents who claim Embassy “visa support”.

Processing time

Embassy New Delhi: ordinary up to 10 working days from complete papers (up to 30 working days if extra checks). Urgent up to 5 working days. Lodge no earlier than 3 months before travel

Stay period

Stay in Ukraine not more than 90 days in 180. Typical visa period 6 months, or as in the invitation, up to 5 years

Validity

Cannot exceed the passport. Passport valid at least 3 months after the stated exit date, 2 blank pages, issued no more than 10 years ago

About This Visa

Use this if they cannot use the e-Visa. Lodge at VFS (Ukrainian visa) in New Delhi. Register the file on http://visa.mfa.gov.ua. Tourism needs documents that show the trip is tourism. Embassy email emb_in@mfa.gov.ua · +91 11 2614 6041 / 2614 6043.

Documents Required

Embassy of Ukraine in India — all visa types (mandatory set)

Passport (3 months after exit, 2 blank pages, not older than 10 years) and copies of used pages
Signed visa form and JPEG photo (full face, white background) plus one 35 × 45 mm print
Health insurance at least EUR 30,000 (first visit is enough if they ask multiple entry)
Consular-fee slip
Bank statement last 6 months, or other proof of funds

Who can apply

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. Not visa-free.
Usual path: e-Visa for tourism, USD 20 single / USD 30 double.
MEA lists Ukraine on travel advisories — treat a holiday as exceptional.

Watch-outs

No refund of the consular fee if refused.
Border: Embassy page also cites a funds check (example figure for a one-month visit is on that page). Carry proof they can pay the stay.
The Embassy is not tied to education agents or “visa consultants”.
