About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Visa C unless they already qualify to enter without a Serbian visa (see Who can apply). Serbia is not Schengen. Staff path: register on https://eid.gov.rs, file on https://welcometoserbia.gov.rs, then if the portal issues a Digital Travel Authorization they travel with that PDF. If it does not, they lodge hard copies of the online file at the Embassy in New Delhi for a sticker.

Digital Travel Authorizations started 23 April 2025 for nationalities the portal enables. If the low-risk / reciprocity tests are not met, they get a sticker instead. Check an issued DTA at https://evisa.welcometoserbia.gov.rs/check-digital-travel-authorization.

Documents Required

MFA visa-requirements page

  • Completed form. Passport: 90 days after leaving Serbia, 2 consecutive blank pages, issued within 10 years. Photo 3.5 × 4.5 cm. Visa fee
  • Purpose of stay. Tourism: agency voucher or payment receipt. Private visit: invitation certified by the Serbian authority. Business: invitation from a company in Serbia
  • Adequate travel medical insurance. Proof of funds for the stay and the return. Proof of accommodation. Papers showing they will leave before the visa ends
  • Transit: entry visa for the next country, or other papers if that country is visa-free for them. Incomplete files are not accepted; the mission may ask for more

2. Good to Know

Rules and notes that apply to every visa type

How to apply

  1. eid.gov.rs account, then welcometoserbia.gov.rs. If they get a Digital Travel Authorization, they do not need the Embassy for that C.
  2. Sticker: bring hard copies of the online file to the Embassy every working day except Friday, 11:00–13:00. No appointment. Collect 16:00–17:00 except Friday, after the Embassy calls.

Who can apply

  • Indian ordinary passports: visa required (MFA India regime). Diplomatic/official: visa-free up to 90 days.
  • Embassy FAQ: a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa with multiple entries is enough to enter Serbia without a Serbian visa.
  • MFA 2014 decision also covers a valid Schengen, UK, EU Member State, or US visa, or a residence permit in Schengen / EU / US — enter, transit, or stay up to 90 days in six months, within that visa or permit. Keep both. Residence-permit cards: show the valid passport too. Two passports (expired with the visa/permit plus a valid one without) are allowed.
  • Work or register stay: they still need Visa D. A Schengen visa is not enough for employment.
  • Long-stay D (90–180 days) is a different fee — not this holiday C.
