1. Visa Types

Processing time

Lodge no earlier than 6 months and at least 15 days before travel. MFA does not print a decision clock for C.

Stay period

Up to 90 days on a C. Transit C up to 5 days. Skip-visa paths are only 15 days per entry — see Who can apply.

Validity

As issued. Passport must still be valid 3 months after the visa.

About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Visa C unless they already qualify to skip it (see Who can apply). North Macedonia is not Schengen. Usual staff path: lodge in person at the Embassy in New Delhi (MEA Protocol: B-1/1, Block B, ground floor, Vasant Vihar). Honorary consuls listed for Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru are not tourist visa counters. delhi.mfa.gov.mk did not load when checked — confirm hours with the chancery before they travel to lodge.

Documents Required

MFA types page + visa application procedure

Signed form. In person (parent/guardian for a minor). Proxy only if they are disabled or a well-known person with no doubt about intent
Passport: 3 months after the visa, issued within 10 years, 2 blank pages. Photo 35 × 45 mm, colour, white background, face clear
Travel medical insurance for the whole stay (medical repatriation, urgent care, emergency hospital)
Types page also lists a notarized warranty / invitation from a Macedonian person or company, funds (card or bank statement), and proof the fee is paid
Procedure page lists purpose, lodging, funds for the stay and the return, transport, and intent to go home or to a third country. Confirm with New Delhi whether a paid hotel booking is enough for tourism when they have no Macedonian host
Refusal: appeal in Macedonian Cyrillic within 8 days to the State Commission (second instance). The appeal does not stop the refusal

How to apply

If they already hold a qualifying multiple Schengen C, EU/Schengen residence, or a 2026 UK/US/Canada multiple visa, they may enter for up to 15 days without a Macedonian C.
Otherwise lodge in person at the Embassy in New Delhi, 6 months to 15 days before travel. Pay EUR 60 (EUR 35 ages 6–12).
Do not send a holiday file to an honorary consul.

Who can apply

Indian ordinary passports: not on the visa-free nationality list. File C at the New Delhi embassy unless a skip path below applies.
Multiple-entry Schengen C valid at least 5 days beyond the stay in North Macedonia: up to 15 days per entry, and not more than 90 days in any 180-day period.
Temporary or permanent residence in an EU or Schengen state: same 15-day / 90-in-180 cap.
Valid multiple-entry UK, US, or Canadian visa in the passport: up to 15 days, and that visa must still be valid 5 days beyond the planned stay. MFA marks this decision as temporary, 1 January 2026–31 December 2026.
UN travel documents: visa not required.
