About This Visa
Indian ordinary-passport holders need a short-stay C unless they already qualify to skip it (see Who can apply). Staff default: https://www.evisa.gov.md — PDF by email, print it, no sticker. Help: evisa@mfa.gov.md / evisa@mfa.md. They may instead lodge at VFS in India for the Embassy in New Delhi. Do not use visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/mda — it does not load. India is on the MFA visa-required list (notes 1 and 2). Note 2: a valid EU / Schengen / UK / US / Canada visa or residence permit (not a transit visa) lets them enter Moldova during that document’s validity without a Moldovan visa.
Documents Required

- Electronic form on evisa.gov.md, or the paper form at VFS. Passport issued within 10 years, valid 3 months after leaving Moldova. Minors: birth certificate and legal-representative passport. Matte colour photo 35 × 45 mm (VFS: two photos, white background, under 1 month)
- GIM invitation if the portal/VFS asks, or a valid EU/Schengen/UK/US/Canada visa or residence (not transit). Hotel booking or a Moldovan host’s maintenance-and-accommodation form — skip hotel if the file is based on a GIM invitation
- Return/round ticket (or car papers). Day-to-day itinerary (VFS). Bank statement not older than 10 days: EUR 30/day, and not less than EUR 300 if the stay is under 10 days — or the host form
- Insurance min. EUR 30,000, whole Moldova stay (hospital, emergency, repatriation). At the border with an e-Visa: printed PDF, passport, invitation copy and other purpose papers, insurance
- VFS: colour photocopies of Indian originals and Moldova papers. Under 18: visa fee gratis on the VFS table
