Stay period
Up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Uniform C covers Schengen as issued. Limited territorial C is only the states on the sticker.

As issued. Entries: 1, 2, or MULT. MULT still respects 90/180.

About This Visa
Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Schengen C. Usual staff path: complete the OCMA e-form at https://epak.pmlp.gov.lv/NVIS.EService001.WebSite/, print and sign, then lodge at a VFS Global Joint Visa Application Centre in India. The Embassy of Latvia in New Delhi decides. MFA: Latvian missions take C files through VFS. Do not use visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/lva — it does not load. Book the VAC VFS names when they call or email.
Honorary consuls in Bengaluru and Mumbai are not visa counters. National D (work/study) is a different path — Hello Verify before VFS for employment D; not this holiday C. Fees are not refunded. Papers except the passport stay with the file.
Documents Required
Embassy New Delhi short-stay page (07.02.2025) + consular-information (funds / insurance)
- Signed OCMA e-form. Two colour photos 35 × 45 mm, white background, last 6 months. Passport: 3 months after leaving Schengen, 2 blank pages, issued within 10 years. Copies of biodata and previous visas
- Insurance min. EUR 30,000, whole Schengen. Short-stay page: cover the first intended visit (urgent care, hospital, death repatriation). Older consular-information page: also a 15-day “period of grace”; if they will enter more than twice, insurance for the first visit is enough. Keep both. Host may take the policy out
- Round-trip flight booked with the airline. Embassy does not cover tickets if the visa is refused. Tourism: agency booking certificate or other travel-plan paper. Hotel, holiday home, or campus in each Schengen stop, plus proof they can pay the stay. Host stay: sponsorship / private accommodation — hotel not needed if it is on an OCMA invitation
- Visit family/friends: OCMA-approved invitation (pmlp.gov.lv), not older than 6 months before filing, plus host invitation with address, contacts, dates, and host citizenship/residence proof
- Original 3 months stamped and signed personal bank statements. ITR acknowledgements last 2 assessment years. Consular-information: not less than EUR 30 per day for the stay and the return, unless the invitation says the host pays. Employed: 3 months payslips, contract, leave letter. Self-employed: company registration including GST. Sponsored: sponsorship / invitation. Retired: 3 months pension and/or property/business income. Ties: employer or school letter
- Minor: notarised consent as on the short-stay page plus parent passport copies
- Biometrics in person in India (prints and digital photo). Prints may be copied from VIS within 5 years. Under 12 exempt from fingerprints but still attend. Travel agents cannot take prints
