About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders are not visa-free. They are not on the Schengen tourist exemption (that is for Schengen passports only; Ireland and the UK are also out). Usual staff path: tourist visa on arrival at Dili International Airport or Dili Sea Port, if they meet the criteria.

Customs Authority: fill the arrival card; genuine visit; funds and accommodation; passport 6 months from entry and a blank page; return/onward ticket or proof they can leave; pay USD 30 cash.

Migration FAQ: all nationalities except a visa-waiver group may get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival; extend once for the same period; no work on a tourist visa. Unless a family/sponsor in-country covers them, the FAQ also asks for funds of USD 100 per entry plus USD 50 per day of stay.

About This Visa

Do not send an Indian tourist to a land border for a walk-in visa. Customs: except Indonesian, Portuguese, and United States nationals, anyone arriving at a land post must apply in advance for a Visa Application Authorization, show it to immigration, then pay USD 30 if they qualify.

The old Immigration “Tourist Visa” URL now opens the new Migration homepage (launched 17 July 2026) and no longer prints the pre-arrival form. Confirm the authorization channel with Migration Service before you book a land crossing.

Documents Required

Customs Authority

  • Visa Application Authorization (print), except the nationalities Customs names as exempt from that step
  • Then the same border papers as tourist on arrival, plus USD 30
