About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders are on the MOI free 30-day tourist list (English 47-nationality page, India at 26) and on the MOI India / Pakistan / Thailand page for a free instant tourist visa. Visit Qatar’s paid Hayya tourist list (QAR 100) does not name India.

Usual tour path: free 30-day tourist. MOI India page: book the hotel on Discover Qatar only — other hotel sites are not accepted. Passport valid at least 3 months, confirmed return ticket, and health insurance from an approved company. They can stamp on arrival, or pre-apply Hayya A1 (tourist) on https://hayya.qa with a passport copy and proof of accommodation. If the Hayya checkout shows a fee, quote that amount; visa-on-arrival nationalities may pay nothing.

Keep both MOI pages. English 47-nationality list: passport 6 months, multiple entry, extendable another 30 days, return or onward ticket. Visit Qatar: passport 3 months from arrival. Confirm stay and papers on the Visit Qatar checker and Hayya an extension.

About This Visa

Use this when they are joining or visiting a relative who already lives in Qatar on residency, not for a hotel tour. The resident in Qatar is the sponsor. MOI (5 Dec 2023) and Hukoomi both describe family visit and family residence. Do not send this file through Hayya A1 tourist.

Family visit (MOI): the sponsor’s job must be a non-labour profession, salary at least QAR 5,000, documented family housing, and the visitor must be in the permitted relative group. No age cap on the visitor. Health insurance must cover the visit.

Family residence (MOI): government / semi-government sponsor — family housing from the employer, or salary at least QAR 10,000 on the electronic work contract. Private sector — technical or specialised (non-labour) job, salary at least QAR 10,000, or QAR 6,000 with employer family housing on the contract. Son not over 25; daughter unmarried. Health insurance from the date of entry. Children 6–18 must be in a licensed school in Qatar, or show they are enrolled in education outside Qatar on the Education Ministry platform, at first grant and at renewal.

Hukoomi: family residence sits under the resident’s employer and needs a valid Qatar ID and residence. MOI: file on Metrash2 or the MOI website. The MOI notice and Hukoomi visas page do not print a family-visit fee. Do not quote the MFA mission visit fee (QAR 100) unless that mission table is the path they actually use.
