About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders may enter without a visa for 14 days from 8 June 2025. eVisaPH: tourism and business. Not for long-term or other non-tourism work. Not convertible to a visa stay. No BI derogatory record.

Usual staff path for a short tour: this 14-day entry. Passport valid 6 months beyond the stay, confirmed hotel, proof of funds, return or onward ticket. Any Philippine port of entry.

About This Visa

Use this when they hold a valid, current American, Japanese, Australian, Canadian, Schengen, Singapore, or United Kingdom visa or residence permit. 30 days, tourism, no Philippine visa. Passport 6 months beyond the stay and a return or onward ticket. Not convertible. No BI derogatory record.

Processing time

e-Visa FAQ: 7–12 working days single entry 15–21 working days multiple. Embassy New Delhi: 10 working days regular, 5 expedite (not counting holidays).

Stay period

As granted, not more than 59 days per visit (Embassy New Delhi). e-Visa stay cannot be extended.

Validity

Single-entry: use within 3 months of issue. Multiple pleasure: 6 months.

About This Visa

Use this when the trip is longer than the visa-free stay, or they do not qualify for visa-free. New Delhi (from 13 Sep 2024): 9(a-1) to 9(a-7), including tourism 9(a-2), must be e-Visa. Only for applicants in Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Pay e-Visa by online bank transfer. e-Visa is not extendible and not convertible. e-Visa is not a guarantee of entry.

Outside those states: the Embassy page sends them to the Philippine Honorary Consulates General in Kolkata, Chennai, or Mumbai. Do not invent those addresses — confirm on the Embassy contact page.

Embassy FAQ: single-entry 9(a) is INR 2,840 by demand draft to the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines (older sticker path). e-Visa fees follow the Embassy e-Visa schedule (bank transfer). Fees are not refunded. MRP / e-passport only.

Documents Required

  • Passport valid at least 6 months beyond the stay (MRP or e-passport)
  • Tickets or flight reservation (entry and exit)
  • Proof of funds: last 6 months’ bank statement or tax payments; or employment certificate with pay; or business income; or sponsor letter with proof of funds
  • Ties to India: employment certificate or property papers
  • Itinerary
  • Hotel or proof of lodging
  • Minors not with a parent: permission letter from a parent or guardian

Visa officer may ask for more papers or an interview.

How to apply

  1. Short tourism (14 days): no visa. Carry passport, hotel, funds, return ticket.
  2. AJACSSUK visa or residence: 30-day visa-free tourism. Passport and return ticket.
  3. Need a visa: https://evisa.gov.ph (Delhi-jurisdiction 9(a-2)). Apply at least the processing window before travel. Pay by bank transfer within 48 hours or start again.

Who can apply

  • Indian ordinary-passport holders: 14-day visa-free for a short tour (and business on the eVisaPH India note). 30 days visa-free if they hold a valid AJACSSUK visa or residence.
  • Longer stay or other purposes: 9(a) e-Visa / Embassy.
  • Transit or non-tourism long stay: apply at a Philippine Embassy or Consulate. Diplomatic / official passports: Embassy New Delhi still says no visa for up to 30 days.
