About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Nigerien visa before travel. Foreigners present a passport with a Nigerien visa at the border unless a bilateral exemption applies. India has an Embassy of Niger in New Delhi — lodge there from the place of residence.

Consular fee is set by the mission — do not invent an amount. Processing: 15 days.

Airside transit passengers who stay inside the airport during the stop do not need a visa. An exceptional entry-point visa needs Interior Minister authorisation and only applies when the traveller leaves a country with no Nigerien diplomatic or consular post — that is not the usual India path.

Documents Required

Consular lodge

  • Passport and a copy
  • Visa application form, completed and signed in duplicate
  • Two recent bare-head photos, 4 × 4 cm, clearly resembling the applicant
  • Consular fee as quoted by the mission

Carry yellow fever vaccination proof for entry (certificate required from travellers over 1 year of age). Confirm any extra papers New Delhi asks for when you book the lodge.
