Lebanon

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. They are not visa-free and not visa-on-arrival. General Security lists India in the third/fourth category: a prior authorization from General Security is required. There is no official Lebanon e-Visa.

Usual staff path in India: tourist file at VFS. Book on https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/lbn — that Fees tab currently prints INR 8400 single, INR 11900 double, INR 16850 multiple. The older VFS one-pager and the Embassy 2026 form still print INR 8250 / 11750 / 16450 (the form also prints LBP 131,250 / 187,500 / 262,500). The apply-portal visa column is INR 150 higher than the one-pager visa column; the one-pager also lists a separate VAC convenience charge of INR 150. Quote the amount on visa.vfsglobal.com the day they book. One-pager service fee is INR 1920 (GST included) plus that INR 150 convenience line. Pay visa fee and VFS fees in cash, card, or UPI.

A tourist visa is for tourism or other non-business visits. The form says they must not take any work in Lebanon, paid or unpaid. VFS: they can only request validity up to 90 days. The Embassy form also lists stay of 15 days, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months — keep both.

Embassy tourist list — General Security (missions abroad)

1. Completed visa application form

2. Colour copy of the passport, valid at least 6 months from the date of application

3. One passport-size photo, 3.5 × 4.5 cm

4. Hotel reservation in the applicant’s name, or a detailed address and phone in Lebanon plus a letter from the host (Lebanese ID if the host is Lebanese; copy of a Lebanese residence permit valid at least 3 months if the host is foreign)

5. Round-trip air-ticket reservation

6. Bank statement for the last 3 months, or other proof of funds

7. Document showing the applicant’s profession

8. If unemployed: the sponsor’s bank statement and profession papers instead

9. If they do not live in their country of nationality: residence permit valid 6 months

1. Application form and checklist, filled and signed

2. Letter of intent (job, reason for the trip, anything else relevant)

3. NOC from the applicant’s company

4. One passport-size photograph (VFS photo tab: not more than 6 months old, 35–40 mm wide)

5. Passport photocopy, valid at least 6 months at submission

6. Return air-ticket booking

7. Hotel in the applicant’s name, or invitation with a clear Lebanon address (Lebanese host: ID copy; foreign host: residence permit valid at least 3 months)

8. Latest bank statement, at least 3 months, showing they can pay the stay

9. Check the passport for an Israel visa or sticker

VFS also asks for old passports if they have travel history. Papers must be in Arabic, French, or English.

Use this only when they change flights in Lebanon and stay in the international transit area. VFS: an airport transit visa does not let them enter the territory of Lebanon. It is not a tourist visa.

The VFS one-pager lists a single-entry fee of INR 8250, plus the same VFS service fee INR 1920 and VAC convenience INR 150. Same Israel-sticker rule as tourist: new passport without it, or they cannot apply. Same request cap: validity up to 90 days.

5. Covering letter (who they are and why they are transiting)

6. Visa or residence permit of the country they are going to

7. Air ticket to that country
