About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. India is on the official Visitor Visa / e-VOA country list. India is not on the ASEAN visa-exemption list.

Usual tourist route: official portal https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id (Directorate General of Immigration). The same product is B1 / e-VOA. Purposes on the official page: tourism, government visit, business meeting, goods purchasing, or transit — not work. No Indonesian sponsor is required. Same entry right as VOA at the port or a mission sticker, but you skip the arrival queue if the system is up.

Fee is IDR 500,000. Card processors add their own charge. The e-VOA FAQ says pay with Mastercard, Visa or JCB (credit card) within 120 minutes of the payment page. The card need not be in the traveller’s name; it must allow international / 3-D Secure charges. The homepage also names SIMPONI and debit cards for e-Visa payments. No refund if refused, unused, or mistyped. Immigration can still refuse entry. Names on the PDF must match the passport exactly.

Documents Required

  • Valid Mastercard, Visa or JCB credit card

Jakarta Pusat B1 page also lists for the e-VOA upload

At the border — same official FAQ

  • Passport valid at least 6 months from arrival
  • Printed return / outbound ticket — the officer may ask for it

Emergency / alien / temporary travel documents are not eligible. Each traveller, including an infant or child, needs their own Visitor Visa (even if they are on a parent’s passport). Activate the account from the verification email within 1 hour.

Processing time

At a listed immigration checkpoint, if granted

Stay period

30 days from arrival. Extend once to a maximum 60 days in total.

About This Visa

India is on the official VOA country list (Immigration regional list, updated 24 September 2026). Same IDR 500,000 PNBP as e-VOA. Pay at the designated bank counter in the immigration area if they do not already hold an e-VOA.

Need a national passport valid 6 months and the payment voucher, then the sticker. Prefer e-VOA so the traveller is not stuck in the VOA queue. Entry is still at the officer’s discretion.

The e-VOA FAQ lists many airports, seaports and land posts, then also says Visitor Visa is “for now” only at Soekarno-Hatta and Ngurah Rai if they are not landing there (cruise example). Check the current port list on the official e-VOA page.

Documents Required

  • Ordinary passport valid at least 6 months from arrival
  • Pay IDR 500,000 at the designated bank counter in the immigration area
  • Show the payment voucher at the VOA counter for the sticker

2. Good to Know

Rules and notes that apply to every visa type

How to apply

  1. Open https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id → Apply → Register. Confirm the email within 1 hour.
  2. Log in, choose Visitor Visa / e-VOA, fill arrival and stay details, upload passport and photo.
  3. Pay IDR 500,000 by Mastercard / Visa / JCB within 120 minutes.
  4. Download from the account and email. Keep a copy on the phone.

Official site only. Immigration warns about paid lookalike sites. The B1 page also names https://indonesiavoa.vfsevisa.id as a channel — prefer https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id unless Immigration redirects.

Who can apply

  • Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa. India is on the e-VOA / VOA list. India is not ASEAN visa-exempt.
  • Usual staff path: e-VOA (B1) on https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id. VOA at the port is the fallback.
  • Airside transit: no visa if they do not leave the international transit area.
  • Work, study and other purposes need a different e-Visa index — not this tourist file.

Embassy

Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, New Delhi (Kemlu Peduli WNI)
50-A Kautilya Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi
+91 11 2611 8642–46
Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00

Official Kemlu list also has KJRI Mumbai: 19 Altamount Rd, Cumballa Hill, Mumbai 400026. Do not invent visa hours or fees for Mumbai — they are not on that page.

Short-stay e-VOA is not an Embassy sticker process. Embassy file status is not handled by visa@imigrasi.go.id.

How to track

Track on https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Support: live chat on imigrasi.go.id · visa@imigrasi.go.id · evoa@imigrasi.go.id. Do not start a second paid file if a payment hangs — write to support first (no refund for double pay).

Photo and uploads

  • e-VOA FAQ: passport bio page and passport-size photo, JPG / JPEG / PNG, maximum 200 KB
  • Jakarta Pusat B1: colour photo from the last year

Arrival card (All Indonesia)

Required for all travellers. Fill https://allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id or the official All Indonesia app from 3 days before arrival. The e-Visa homepage says submit the arrival card within 3 days before arrival. Immigration press release: mandatory from 1 October 2025 at airports and seaports. Free. Not a visa. Save the QR and show it at the port.

How to extend

e-VOA / B1: one 30-day extension, total stay 60 days. Official B1 pages: online on https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id (or the VFS e-VOA URL they list). Paper VOA: nearest immigration office.

Official immigration tariff table (PP 45/2024): Izin Tinggal Kunjungan 30 days is IDR 500,000 per application — that is the extension tariff, not a second e-VOA.

Cannot apply a new e-VOA from inside Indonesia. Overstay: IDR 1,000,000 per day; over 60 days can mean detention, deportation and a ban.
