About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders are Commonwealth nationals. Official Government of The Gambia entry pages state that Commonwealth citizens do not need a visa for holiday or business stays of up to 90 days.

Carry a valid passport and a yellow fever vaccination card. At the airport, travellers pay a USD 20 (D1000) security fee on arrival and again on departure, in cash (USD or dalasi). There is a Gambian High Commission in New Delhi for other consular questions — not for a tourist visa stamp on this Commonwealth path.

Confirm Commonwealth visa-free stay (≤90 days) on https://gambia.gov.gm/entry-requirement/
Travel with passport and yellow fever card.
Pay the airport security fee on arrival and departure.
For non-exempt cases or longer stays, contact the High Commission of The Gambia in New Delhi before travel.

Who can apply

Indian ordinary-passport holders: Commonwealth visa-free path up to 90 days for holiday or business, per gambia.gov.gm.
If a client is not on an exempt path, visas are obtained from a Gambian mission, or at Banjul airport when there is no Gambian mission in their country.

Watch-outs

Follow the official Commonwealth 90-day rule — do not invent a sticker fee for ordinary Indian tourists on that path.
Yellow fever card is required.
Security fee USD 20 each way at the airport (cash).
Last-minute arrivals without the usual papers may be told to report to Immigration in Banjul within 48 hours — avoid that path for sold packages.
