About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Temporary Visitor — Tourist visa (90 days) before travel. India is listed among Régimen Especial nationalities that must present a visa to enter Ecuador. Embassy of India in Bogotá advises applying in all cases with no exemptions.

Apply only on the official e-VISAS platform (serviciosdigitales.cancilleria.gob.ec) — 24/7, from anywhere, no consulate appointment for the standard digital path. Tourism only; labour in Ecuador is not allowed on this category.

Documents Required

Visitante temporal turista 90 días (mandatory)

Colour JPG photo, max 1 MB, 5×5 cm (2×2 in), white background, neutral expression or natural smile, both eyes open
Passport valid at least six (6) months
Original criminal-record certificate from the country of nationality or of residence in the last five years — translated and apostilled/legalised; valid within 180 days from issue to last entry (18+ only)
Proof of lawful means per Acuerdo Ministerial No. 70 of 28 June 2024
Travel itinerary and round-trip tickets
Any further papers the authority requests
Pay solicitud USD 50 then, if approved, otorgamiento USD 30 (card or Banco del Pacífico deposit as the portal allows)

Apply on e-VISAS from outside Ecuador at least twenty (20) days before the planned transit Same same-day first-payment rule as other e-VISAS filings

About This Visa

India is among the nationalities that may need a Temporary Visitor — Transit (transeúnte) visa to pass through Ecuador. File on e-VISAS from abroad at least 20 days before the transit date. Use the tourist 90-day category instead when the purpose is tourism.

Documents Required

Follow the transit document set on e-VISAS for Visitante Temporal de Transeúnte (scanned, complete, legible). Contact cesdi.evisas@cancilleria.gob.ec or dz9-quito@cancilleria.gob.ec if the portal prompts.

How to apply

Open https://serviciosdigitales.cancilleria.gob.ec/ — register with email and verification code.
Nuevo Trámite → Nueva Visa → Visitante Temporal → Turista (90 días) (or transit if that is the case).
Upload photo, passport, PCC, funds (Acuerdo 70), itinerary and tickets.
Pay USD 50 the same day by 23:55 Ecuador time (card or Banco del Pacífico rules).

Who can apply

Indian ordinary passports: e-VISAS Temporary Visitor — Tourist (90 days) before travel; EOI Bogotá: no exemption path.
Online only for the standard tourist grant — Cancillería e-VISAS.
Transit through Ecuador: separate transeúnte category when required.
Residence / work: other visa types on the same portal — not this tourist record.
