About This Visa

Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa for Cabo Verde (Cape Verde). India is not on the official visa-exemption list. From 1 January 2026, nationals on the EASE “visa before arrival” list — including India — must hold the visa before they arrive, or entry can be refused.

Apply at a Cabo Verde embassy or consular post. Official visa cost: CVE 4,898. Tourism: stay up to 90 days; use the visa within 60 days of issue.

Separately, every foreign traveller must pre-register on https://www.ease.gov.cv and pay the Airport Security Tax (TSA) when it applies — ideally up to 5 days before the trip. EASE is not a visa.

Documents Required

Consular basics

  1. Valid passport — validity at least 3 months beyond the stay

  2. Photograph as required

  3. Other papers the mission asks for (purpose of trip, funds, return plans)

Also complete EASE pre-registration and pay TSA when due (international TSA: CVE 3,400 on the US mission information sheet).

2. Good to Know

Rules and notes that apply to every visa type

How to apply

  1. Contact the nearest Cabo Verde embassy or consular post and lodge the tourism visa file.
  2. Pay the official visa fee (CVE 4,898).
  3. Before travel: pre-register on https://www.ease.gov.cv and pay TSA when applicable (aim for at least 5 days before departure).
  4. Travel only with a valid visa in the passport (or as the mission issued) plus the EASE registration.

Who can apply

  • Indian ordinary-passport holders need a visa before travel.
  • Not visa-free. Not visa on arrival for India after 1 January 2026.
  • Usual staff path: Cabo Verde embassy / consular post + EASE pre-registration on https://www.ease.gov.cv

Watch-outs

  • EASE is mandatory pre-registration + TSA — it does not replace the visa for Indians.
  • Do not invent EUR or USD fee tables from foreign consulates; quote CVE 4,898 unless the mission prints a different currency amount.
  • India is not on the visa-exemption country list.

How to track

Visa: ask the consular post where the file was lodged. EASE: https://www.ease.gov.cv · support email on the portal (ease-support@cv.zetes.com).
