About This Visa

The Brunei company or government-linked company applies first at the Department of Immigration and National Registration in Brunei. After the approval letter is issued, the traveller takes it to the High Commission in New Delhi for the visa stamp.

Do not send the traveller to New Delhi without that immigration approval letter.

Documents Required

  • Completed visa application form
  • Copy of the immigration approval letter from Brunei
  • Original passport — six months past intended entry, at least six unmarked pages
  • Passport copy
  • Two recent passport-size photos, blue or white background
  • Confirmed return flight itinerary

Processing time

Issued at Brunei International Airport only, if still eligible that day.

Stay period

Continue the journey within 72 hours

Validity

As granted at the airport

About This Visa

MFA lists India among nationalities that may be granted a transit visa at Brunei International Airport only — not at other posts. It is for air transit to or from a third country.

Conditions: valid passport, confirmed onward ticket, a visa for the third country if that country needs one, enough funds, and onward travel within 72 hours. Extension is not permitted.

Prefer a short-visit visa if the traveller will leave the airport or stay longer.

Documents Required

  • Valid passport
  • Confirmed onward air ticket
  • Visa for the next country if that country requires one
